Neither here nor there. Not belonging to one and constantly trying to mould yourself to fit into a box. This concept co-creative directed with @aaishahperager was to capture the duality of an individual’s sense of belonging in a cross-cultural upbringing. We wanted to curate a photo series that encapsulated that struggle and present it through fashion. We reached out to a sustainable London-based Indian designer @krishmasabbarwal to collaborate with us on this project, as well as several other creatives who were also POC. With the bold statement garments, using the Pakistani and British passports as metaphors throughout, we visually curated the duality narrative through photography & moving images.
